How to apply eye liner?

i wanted to know, when i put on eye liner in 20 minutes its gone and i have to do it again. is there any way to get it to stay on longer. How to apply eye liner?
Try a long lasting eyeliner most brands make them. But if you are really attached to your color then once you put it on, reline your eyes with an eye shadow that is close to the same color. How to apply eye liner?
i am using a MAC gel based eyeliner.its water proof and comes with a brush. It is soo easy to apply . i have never used a eyeliner before tht so i was worried tht it would take me a long time to learn especially to apply to the upperlid but its easy it took me 2 tries and voia!. its also easy to remove just swipe a tissue and its gone

the brush and eyeliner is a bit expensive.brush is 18$ and the liner 14$ but its worth it cuz it can be used over the year as u dont use much of it

I would highly recommend it. I seriously luv.

they come in all all colors. I have it in sparkly black

STEP 1: Choose an eyeliner appropriate for your eye color. Brown, navy and charcoal accent light eyes well, while brown and plum shades flatter brown eyes. Make sure your liner complements the color of your shadow. STEP 2: Consider the type of look you're after. Pencil eyeliner gives your eyes soft definition, while liquid versions offer precision and drama. You can also moisten dark eye shadow and apply it with a small, flat brush. STEP 3: Prepare a cake liner or a dark eye shadow by applying a small amount of water to your brush. Or, if you're using a pencil eyeliner, ensure that you've sharpened the pencil adequately. STEP 4: Move the wet brush gently through your cake liner or dark shadow. Hold the brush or pencil as you would hold a pen. STEP 5: Tilt your head back slightly and bring your eyes to a half-open state. This creates a good angle for application, while allowing you to see what you're doing. STEP 6: Draw a line across the upper lid just above the lashes, from the inside corner to the outside corner of the eye. If you're using liquid liner, allow it to dry before opening your eyes all the way, or the color may transfer into the crease of your eye. STEP 7: If you used a brush or a pencil, soften the look by gently smudging the line with your brush, a cotton swab or your finger. STEP 8: Line the lower lids. Moving from the outside edge inward, draw a line on the outer two-thirds of the lid or more, depending on the look you're going for. Your line should be slightly thicker at the outside corner, becoming thinner as it moves in toward your nose. Using your brush or pencil, lightly stroke the area. If using a liquid liner, apply it in one smooth stroke. Apply less color so your eyes don't appear raccoonlike. Tips %26amp; Warnings

You may find eyeliner, particularly the liquid version, difficult and messy the first few times. Practice and have patience.

Wash brushes regularly with makeup remover or a mild gel shampoo.

Lining the inside of the lower lid is not recommended'it may cause eye infections, and it greatly increases the risk of getting makeup in your eye.
make sure to apply a 'base' on your eyes first like with a concealer or foundation; this will give your liner something to 'grab'. then apply your eyeliner. use short feathery strokes instead of trying to do one harsh long line. after you are done your makeup apply a translucent powder over everything, including your eyes with a big poufy brush. this will 'set' your makeup and keep it in place longer.
You may need a better eyeliner.

I recently started using Cover Girl after buying the expensive stuff and find that its off my eyelid in an hour. The more expensive, department store brands are longer lasting. Sure you pay more, but if you're constantly reapplying the eyeliner, you're using more and probably paying the same amount.

Also, if you have oily skin it could be the oils taking it off, so prep your lid with something to get rid of the oil. Use a concealer on your eye before you put on shadows and liner that way it stays on longer. Also don't rub your eyes, that is obviously taking off the make up as well.

Some of the better, long lasting brands: MAC, Benefits, Clinique and Estee Lauder
use liquid eyeliner.
