How do I apply eye liner?

Hello, im 16 (I know i know, I should know) but ive never really used make up. I use mascara, and now want to bring out my eyes. I dont wanna go too heavy on eye liner though, just l ightly so it looks natural. How do I apply eye liner?
I am a fan of liquid eyeliner. When applied properly it stays all day and doesn't need to be retouched. First, you have to find the perfect eyeliner. I use Lancome Artliner, which is a bit pricey. The cheaper eyeliner I found the works just as good is Mary Kate and Ashley. Apply it underneath your lower lashes. When, you mess up just use a Qtip to correct it. There is no trick to applying perfect eyeliner, it just takes practice, and a good Qtip. Good Luck, you'll have it down before you know it.How do I apply eye liner?
Just buy a regular liner not the thick crayon lookin things.

Try with basic black or brown first. Practice at home when you aren't going to go anywhere so you don't have to be in a rush to fix if you mess up....

lightly draw a ';line'; closest to your lashes on your top lid. Some use on bottom too. Line below the eye under the lashes....you kinda go under the eyelash hairs and do the same....do it lighter on the bottom.

Practice till you get it right before you choose to wear it out....and don't use the liquid liner it will just be a mess.
the best way to apply it is by sharpening the egde of it and then feathering it across the length of your lash line so it is more smudged looking.short strokes are best.
Okay im great at doin eye liner!lol..I luv makin muh eyes show out :)..Okay U pull the bottom of ur eye down and u just go over the inside of it..Then if u wanna do it on top like i do..u can keep it open or shut it and pull the corner of ur eyes out and make a line the shape of ur eye!..Personally i like to make it curve up and out a lil bit at the tip..its really pretty!..Hope that helps :)
you draw a line eithther ontop our under your eye
Go to marykay.com and find a local consultant. She will come to your house and work with you on application and finding the best color combinations. (No I don't sell Mary Kay-I just think they have great products and I know they receive training) Plus, they use single samples unlike the mall stores so you won't get any infections in your eyes while learning.
