I have blonde hair, fair skin, and hazel/light brown eyes. What would look good on me? What brands do you suggest? What mascara and eye liner would look good on me?
I would do a dark brown mascara. Actually, Maybelline mascara (pink and green) is about $4, and is one of the best non clump waterproof mascaras out there! And for eyeliner, i would do a rich brown with amber- it would bring out the hazel in your eyes!!What mascara and eye liner would look good on me?
Black or dark blue eyeliner
Black Mascara with touches of purple at the end.
Ur gonna look FAB Babes!!!
Try and use all natural products, Lush
or Sephora.com,chanel they arent all natural but are brill.

What mascara & eye liner do you use? Is it good?
I have yet to find a really good mascara that stays on all day, and doesnt clump. And eye liner, it is so hard to find an eye liner that stays on, doesnt smudge, and isnt hard to put on. What do you use? Brand and like what kind, (lash blast, ect)What mascara %26amp; eye liner do you use? Is it good?
i have about a million black eyeliners cos i love them but one i've just bought is from Boots No7 (i don't know if you're in the UK??)

How do you keep your mascara/eye liner from running when you sweat?
i go to the clubs all the time and i dance and as u all know it gets really hott in there. my make up always looks gorgeous at the begining but the more drinks and more i sweat i look like a 2 dollar hooker trying to get the smokey eye effect! haha any tips on how to keep from smuding?!How do you keep your mascara/eye liner from running when you sweat?
i have the same problem. Try using Maybelline's waterproof mascara, and at sephora they have some liquid you apply over your eyeshadow and it makes it stay and not be all runny at the end of the night. How do you keep your mascara/eye liner from running when you sweat?
: ) lol
Try using Maybelline Great Lash mascara in the WATERPROOF formula!
:) It works GREAT! : )
Good luck!!!
: )
: )
Cover girl in the green tube, I think the eyeliner in the pen is too. BUT check the package
use maybelline the pink and black bottle it works the best. i have been using it for 20 years no running ever
don't wear any
For mascara... waterproof!! Put lots and lots of layers of mascara!!
Eyeliner.. hm, i'm not really sure. What I do to make mine last longer is I draw the line thickly with a pencil liner and then to darken and set it, I draw it over with a waterproof liquid eyeliner, it makes it last very long.
Anyways, thats what works for me!
USE WATER PROOF!
also take a break once and a while and go touch up in the bathroom!
try waterproof

What is the difference between Mascara, eye liner, eye shader, eye pencil?
Mascara is for your lashes. There are many different kinds: some lengthen, some add volume, some curl your lashes, and some have color for fun and funky looks!
Eye liner is used to line your lash line or water line. It defines and shapes your eyes. They normally come either pencil, liquid, or gel. You can also use eye shadows for liners!
Eye shader (I'm thinking you mean eye shadow, but I could be wrong) is normally used on the lid of your eye. There are many different kinds (cream, powder, pencil, etc.) and finishes (matte, frost, satin, lustre, etc,).
The most common eye pencil are eyeliner pencils. They are used to define your eye shape. However, there are also eye pencils that are used as an ';eye shadow';, and there are eye pencils that are used for highlighting the brow bone. What is the difference between Mascara, eye liner, eye shader, eye pencil?

..... well just put it in google images and its kinda obvious! lol duhh!!
:P
anyways....... Mascara goes on your eyelashes, to thicken, volumise, or lengthen them.
Eyeliner is used to bring out you eyes, to outline it, it can be lined at the waterline or the outer lower lash area, And its liquid!
eye shaders are shadows, different colours that u use on your lids.
eye pencil kinda does the same job as eyeliner, only it is a pencil
gosh its kinda obvious!!! :pp
mascara goes on your eyelashes to tint your eyelashes, eyeliner is for the top lid of the eye, then eye shadow is a colour that you put on your eye lid, then eye pencil is to put on the water line on your eye
Mascara goes on your eyelashes, eye liner and eye pencil are basically the same thing unless the liner is liquid but they both go on the lid of your eyes. top or bottom or both and shadow goes on the lid of your lashes

What are good water-proof mascara & eye-liner to purchae?
Im looking for a good water-proff mascare %26amp; eye-liner to purchase, the one i have smears and i feel like its all over my eyes. What are good water-proof mascara %26amp; eye-liner to purchae?
Mascara - Bourjois easy waterproof.
Pencil eyeliner - Gosh wax eyeliner.
Liquid eyeliner - Mac Liquidlast eyeliner or No7 do exactly the same thing but cheaper, however Mac have a better range of colours.
Hope I helped :)What are good water-proof mascara %26amp; eye-liner to purchae?
I would highly recommend CoverGirl lash blat mascara in very black ($8) and some eyeliner from the Sephora brand in Sephora ($10), they have water proofs in every color imaginable. I dont know how much your looking to spend, so I recommended something cheap. If you wear them everyday it will last about 6 monthes or so. I am always at the beach or swimming and my makeup is always perfect without a smudge in site. The only time it ever comes off is when I am in the shower washing my face, or when I sleep with it on.
I have never really got on with waterproof products because I have oily skin, and most waterproof mascaras contain oil!
The best I have found is a brand called Blinc! It is not waterproof though but Water Resistant. I have read mixed reviews about this product but in the end my Mum of all people recommended it to me (how embarrassing, my mum!) She got me one for my birthday and it was great!
It ran out and I went to get another but found out it was $25.00. I got it for a lot less online so source it there.
Found a site with a fair report for it http://cosmeticsfairy.co.uk/articles/?cat=52
Good luck.
Makeup forever aqua eyes eyeliner. I have it and it works really well. Then for mascara, I would go for Dior DiorShow mascara in the waterproof kind. I have the regular kind and I really like it.
mac eyeliner is the best water proof eye liner..don't know what kinda you want liquid, stick, ect.
and the best water proof mascara is the orange one that drew barrymore advertises for, i forget the name, but thats the best
hope this helps :)

Applying eye liner ?
Hi I know this has probably been asked loads of times, but I thought I would as a question of my own.
I am having trouble applying eyeliner to my bottom eye lashes, as my eyelashes seem to get in the way, and if I go under my eyelashes it seems to look like ive applied it too low down lol, I am using a twist up eyeliner pen so im not sure if this could be the problem as there is no way of sharpening it and the edge is quite rounded.
I have a liquid eyeliner pen but this often looks too dark, so I go for the pencil or pencil pens, I have seen other girls when they apply just keep going over there lashes gliding back and forth but I cannot do this because of my eyelashes, I want to get the trick of doing it and have watch videos on how to do it and still no luck, could it be I need a eyeliner pencil rather than a twist up one as it might not bee sharpe enough.
I can apply it on my lower eyelid as I used to do it but I read somewhere that its not suppose to go here.Applying eye liner ?
just hold the pencil to the side, so its almost parallel to your face and pull it across.
i use a twist up pencil, and find it helps if i have some water on a cloth to dampen the pencil.
you could try putting it on the inside part (as in between the lashes and the eyeball) and as you blink it will kind of move the eyeliner into the lashes... i used to do this when i was a teen cos i couldnt do it straight underneath!!
good luck - me love eyeliner!Applying eye liner ?
I use an eyeliner twist up pencil. I like it, and use it everyday.
First of all, make shure you dont have any mascara on, when youre putting your eyeliner on.
Then what I do is, make tiny dashes or dots along the lash line, then use my pinky finger to smudge it lighty.
This looks a lot more natural than make a ling along the lash line.
you should not apply it inside your lower lid
this can cause major eye infections
try a pencil under the lower lashes
short strokes
use the edge of an eye shadow sponge tip to smudge if needed
or
try using a lighter liquid liner
and apply a lighter muted eye shadow over the liner with a small angle edge brush or edge of a sponge tip applicator
you can try to dot in between eyelashes, if its hard for you to glide over, also if you want to make it look darker lightly apply some mascara
i use an angle eye brush and i buy black eye shadow and apply it underneath, i find it looks better and its easier to apply
hope this helps
you can sharpen the pencil by taking a paper towel, placing it around the tip, and ';mold'; the pencil part with you warm fingers.
you can apply it on the waterline, since it creates a more natural look.
Hi! TBH when it comes to eyeliner most ppl find their own unique way of doing it which works for them, but what i do is hold the outer corner of my eye taut with the opposite hand and watch with the other eye as i draw steadily along the lasshline. Sometimes its easier to draw slightly below where you want it a then blent it into where you want it. You needn't apply it all in one continuous line aswell, some people prefer to do it in three parts. I probably have an easier time because I tend to only use the lighter more sparkly eyeliners, which are wonderfully forgiving if you go a bit askew! :D Oh, and when it comes to liquid eyeliner, I'm totally lost, sorry.

Applying Eye Liner?
Where should I be applying eye liner to get the best affect in making my eyes look bigger?Applying Eye Liner?
on your bottom eye, DON'T apply the eyeliner on your tear duct. do it slightly under the eye. make the line slightly thinner as you move inwards, thicker on the outsides.
I wouldn't recommend putting a line on your upper lid, but if you do follow the same thick to thin pattern as below. for mascara, apply it ONLY to the ends of lashes - don't start at the roots.Applying Eye Liner?
Thick on the top. thin on the bottom =)
only on the top lid...
Use a very soft eyeliner pencil like Chanel or Avon's Glimmersticks and draw it as close to the lashes as possible. Then smudge it a bit so it doesn't look like a line. Just do the top lid and the outer corner of the bottom lashes.
apply it close to ur eyelashes

HELLO,im so bad at applying liquid eye liner, any tips?
PLEASE haHELLO,im so bad at applying liquid eye liner, any tips?
oh man, I have the shakiest hands ever, so applying liquid eyeliner was always a nightmare for me.
Take a pencil/crayon eyeliner and make a very faint line where you want your liquid. Then take your liquid liner and trace over the line. It's best if you start in the middle of your eyelid and then work your way out, or start in the middle and work your way in towards your nose.
I found that having the guiding pencil line made things a bit easier, because I didn't have to freehand the line, but I knew I was applying it where I wanted it.
If it's still a big mess, try using a gel liner, like L'Oreal HiP gel liner. It's sort of pricey for drugstore makeup, but it's amazing, and the pigment and lasting power is pretty equal with the higher end gel liners.
Good luck!HELLO,im so bad at applying liquid eye liner, any tips?
if your really bad try a felt tip, its easier to apply than a brush liner. and go on youtube and type in ';how to apply liquid eyeliner'; it shows you easy ways to apply it, thats how i learned, and i got it looking good my second try..i just watched alot of vids on youtube before trying it.
make sure the brush has a fine tip.
then close your eye, and make tiny sweeps as close to the eyelash line as possible.
if you want a thicker darker look, then it doesn't really take any tips..
just apply it and make sure you make a straight line at the top.
PEACE :)
lay the brush sort of on the side rather than using the tip of the brush. Also felt tip/marker applicators would better for first time liquid eyeliner users. I personally use a really cheap brand because I like the bristle applicator ( New York Cosmetics)
I'm not good at it either, but I always apply it with a kohl, and then go over it with a liquid liner, it's much easier that waycredit bureau

EyeLiner.....Masacara should always go last because you might put to much on and once you put the eyeliner it'll get all clumpy

eyeliner.
well its obviously the eyeliner first after youve applied your eyeshadow, followed by your mascara to add the last finishing touch:)
it could go either way. a lot of ppl taht use liquid eyeliner like to put on mascara first bcuz after the liners on your lashes get sort of chunky for the excess that went on them during application. wen using pencil its easier to use it before mascara. but either way would work theres no ';right'; way. i use liquid eyeliner and do it before my mascara, but it all depends on what kind of liner you use and your opinion of which way is more effective

definately the eyeliner because if you try to do your uper lash line with eyeliner you might end up rubbing off you mascara

I'm a little different but i put Mascara first. I don't want excess eyeliner to go into my mascara. Also all the other eyeshadow etc. Just drains the life of my mascara...O_O
I don't know about 'should be', but personally, i do my mascara first, then liquid liner on my upper eyelid, and then pencil eyeliner on my lower lid. If I'm going to wear eyeshadow I put that on before anything!

eyeliner.
definately the eyeliner because if you try to do your uper lash line with eyeliner you might end up rubbing off you mascara
mascara should always be the last part of any make-up routine...unless your putting on some lip gloss
hope i helped :)
Yeah..I agree...eyeliner..so you can apply as close to the lashline as possible, and the lashes don't get in the way. : )
eye liner
eyeliner of course
eyeliner. mascara should always go on last.
Eyeliner
eyeliner
Hiya
Here's the steps :
Foundation
Eyeshadow
Lipgloss/lipstick
Blush
Eyeliner
Mascara
Concealer.
Hope this helps !x
Why do color of eyes get lighter when eye liner is applied?
It may be less light glare from the surrounding skin, letting you see into the eyes better. What light that would normally be drowned out by the skin around the eyes, is filtered out with the eye liner, and if you have fairer skin, that means less ';glare'; if you will, off the surrouning skin.
If you are using a lighter eye liner, you may actually be experiencing an opposite effect, the light from the lighter eyeliner may be reflecting off your eye pigmentation. Why do color of eyes get lighter when eye liner is applied?

Tips to applying powder eye liner?
Im making the switch from pencil liner (which I think is okay) to powder liner with a brush. Ive tried several times and have only had okay liner a few times. If I mess up its in every tiny crack doesnt want to come out at all.
Im using bare escentuals liner and their flat eye liner brush.Tips to applying powder eye liner?
apply all makeup and eyeshadow needed in the eye area. get a flat slanted brush and moisten it. you can just dab the brush on your tongue quickly or put a little water on it (don't put too much water or it will be useless). then dab a little liner and dab in along the eyeline working outwards. depending how you want your look, you can put a lot on or spread the liner around for a smokey eye look.Tips to applying powder eye liner?
wet the brush a bit
wet the brush prior to application.
the powder will stick better %26amp; it
will make it easier for u to draw
the line of liner itself. :]
use a brush that is half an inch long and about one- eighth of an inch wide
if it does get out of line try taking a damp q tip and runnign it right under the liner, it should clean it right up !!!!
I HAVE TRIED USING POWDER EYELINER.
IT COMPARES NOTHING TO PENCIL.
I WOULD STICK WITH PENCIL.
Try using an angled brush, I believe they're about $18 at MAC, but you can probably get them cheaper at the drugstore. They are pretty good for applying powdered liner and it's almost impossible to screw up with them because they follow the line your eye. If you mess up, try dipping a Q-Tip in some makeup remover to fix your mistakes =)
While using a powder shadow as a liner, it is wise to hold a tissue directly beneath your eye to avoid it from getting all over the dace. The best tool to apply eyeliner is the sponge applicator. Liner applied as a series of dashes or dots or short feather-like strokes on the lash line are much easier to control than a solid line. If your lids are oily, you need to prepare it first just like you did for eyeshadow to avoid eyeliner from moving up to the crease area. Kohl pencils are ideally suited for the inner rims of the upper and lower lids and not the eyeliner as it soon smears easily and is also not good for eyes.

Maybe get another flat brush and when it gets out of line, dab the brush in eye makeup remover. Dab it again with a tissue to make sure it doesn't drip, and sweep it over the parts you don't want the liner. I use a thick (good brand) dark eye shadow instead of liner, but it works the same. I use a very small brush, and go over where i want the liner twice. Sometimes i use those brushes you get from sample lipsticks. They don't last that long but they're spectacular.

Applying black eye liner, whats better liquid or pencil, how to get the smokey eye look...?
just want a new lookApplying black eye liner, whats better liquid or pencil, how to get the smokey eye look...?
I usually use liquid for the upper lid and pencil for the lower lid. I like using the liquid liner cause it gives me a precise, non messy line on top and I like using the pencil to make it kinda smudgey and darker. It's really up to you how you want it to look.

Liquid eyeliner definitely looks more dramatic and nicer, in my opinion; however, pencil is easier to apply. The best trick I've learned when applying either liquid or pencil liner is to apply short strokes toward the outside of your eye (toward the same ear) until you've completed the line across the top of your eyelid. In other words, don't try to apply the liner in one solid stroke as this is too difficult. Using the other method I described is going to be much easier and will teach you how to apply it comfortably.
One other thing to do, if you're looking for that smokey look, apply the pencil with the short strokes, and then smudge the outer corners of your eyes with your finger until you get the look you're after.
I hope that helps.
personally i prefer pencil, its more precise cuz liquid is messy :/

For the smokey eye, you probably actually want to go with a creme or powder. Booth blend much easier than pencil or liquid. Creme is the least messy, but powder is the ';smokiest';.

Tips on applying eye liner?!?!?
OK, I was wondering if anyone could give step by step directions on applying eyeliner. Tips are very much appreciated!Tips on applying eye liner?!?!?
Check out YouTube to see it in moving action. I can explain though. When applying it, use short strokes as close to the lash line as you can get.
Take your time and steady your hand by placing your pinky on the bridge of your nose while you're applying it.
If you mess up alittle, it's okay, you can just cover the booboo by applying more shadow over the mess up- if you're wearing eye shadow.
If you're applying liquid eyeliner, DO NOT PUT IT ON YOUR WATERLINE- you will irritate your eyes doing that.Tips on applying eye liner?!?!?
Eyeliner application can definitley be tricky...but here's what to do!
TOP:
The most important thing is to take your time. If you rush, you wont get the desired look. If you want an easier application and are new at this, using a lining pencil is a better idea than liquid. With your dominant (writing) hand, hold the pencil. With your other hand, take your pointer or middle finger tip and just stretch the outer corner of your eye (as if you were to try and make your eyes look asian), but make sure not to stretch too much and do it gently. Now that you have a striaghter eyelid, the lashline is straighter; making it easier to apply accuratley. With your (sharpened) pencil, start drawing a line as close to your lashline as possible (do not start on a corner of your lashline but right in the middle, it sounds weird but it works, then dont go to the inner corner, but the outer [closer to your finger]). Once you have this half done, release the finger using to stretch out your lashline and look at the line youve drawn (notice the thickness). Then stretch out your eyelid again (same method) and from the middle of your lashline, go the other way with the pencil now (from middle to your inner corner). This part takes some getting used to and practice because here you need the line to decrease in thickness as it approaches the inner corner. Release eyelid to normal. Take some time to practice. You'll get the hang of it. When you think you are ready, the same steps can be done for liquid eyeliner.
BOTTOM:
The easier part. Take eyeliner PENCIL and line your waterline. Go back and forth along the waterline until u reach your desired darkness. You must not use liquid eyeliner for your waterline.
Hope I've helped! Good luck! :D
P.S. - When you have some spare time or just want to play around, try some experiments with your eyeliner. A really great idea is a cat's eye. Look into it...its a pretty awesome look.
Have fun!
k well for the bottom pull your eye outwords (like when you were a kid the way you mimiced chinese eyes) ,dont pull it down to apply it cuz thatl cause wrinkles.then get the eyeliner pencil(easiest for beginners ,no liquid liners) nd then just draw the line(: its pretty easy but idk bout the top cuz i dont do the top.
ok
im gonna tell yopu hwo to put it on the bottom ok
so first take the eyeliner and if its your first time then take your time
and just draw a line acrss wear your bottom lashes are

How do i apply eye liner?
I kno how, but where? (lower eye liner) when i put it on my eyes, i think im putting it on the line but ppl say io do it wrongHow do i apply eye liner?
i always put it on above my lashes at the bottom. but some people put it on underneath the lashes it all depends on what look you want to go for. and don listen to ppl lol they don kno wat they r talkin about there is differ ways to do itHow do i apply eye liner?
Just keep it as close to you natural lash line as possible.
That's what its for you know...
DON'T put it inside the lash line... No matter what people say...
It makes your eyes look smaller and can cause infections ans runns easier.
Start on the outside corner of your eye and just continue on your lash line. Don't go past it. that will also run or rub off quickly and looks trashy. plus it makes your eyes look closer together.
Put your eyeliner (to enhance your lash line) under your lower lashes. You can use a white liner on the waterline (above your lashes) to make your eyes look bigger and brighter.
I put it top of my lower lash but i prefer a pencil or a brightly coloured powder for my liner :)

Applying eye liner?
ok so everytime i try to apply eyeliner like on the top it never looks right...is it the way i am applying it? or does it only look right on some eye lids?Applying eye liner?
Use a sharpened pencil for a thin line them tug at the corner of your eye a bit to keep it straight and even them apply liner to the base of the lashes and it should be just right.Applying eye liner?
well no it works on all eye lids what i do is, is close the eye i am gonna put it on and pull my eye to the side and glise it on easy and thin and slow
Well it depends on where you are putting it on.
Are you putting it right up to the lash line?
If not,thats your problem.
But if you are..then maybe try putting some one your lower lid..
Hope this will help.
-jade.
it sorta has to do with both....
if you dont know how to actually apply it, then of course it would come out crooked or like messy.
but like it depends on your eyes 2..
some ppl only look good with the top or bottom....maybe even both
try applying it on the bottom and see how it works out!!

Question:applying eye liner?
i just want to know what the best way would be for applying eyeliner to get the smokey-eye dramatic look, and would black eyeliner look good with hazel eyes?Question:applying eye liner?
I would think so. I wear black eyeliner all of the time. My eyes are dark brown. Black goes with everything. It takes a lot of practice applying it though to get the perfect look. If you put too much on, it may look like someone punched you in the eye.Question:applying eye liner?
Yeah, just don't over do it, it might look tacky. Use the liner on the top and extend it to the corners of your eyes. Use a brown liner on bottom. Try using a shimmery gray, or a soft brown eyeshadow, a good tip if you are applying across the entire eye, use a gold or a light shimmery color just below your brow. mascara will set this look off perfectly.
get black andbrown and you put it under your eyelashes/ the small ones and smear it how you like!
You hold your eye and gently apply it.
Use an eye pencil that is fat - not thin and really sharp. Put a line along the lid, then use a tissue or Q-Tip to smudge it a little bit to get that smokey effect. With hazel eyes, I'd recommend a dark charcoal gray or brown, but black is good, too (not blue!)
Good luck!
I use powder eye shadow as eye liner and it makes a nice smudged look. I use the applicator on its side to make a line below my bottom eyelashes and on top of my top lashes.
I think that purple would look good with hazel eyes.
Use liquid/pen eyeliner and draw a thin line on the top (as close to your eyelashes as possible, you're not putting on black eyeshadow). Use black eyeshadow powder on the bottom would give you a smokey-eye effect.
Black eyeliner looks good on any color eye if it is applied correctly. For smokey eyes, here is my suggestion: Find a light color, preferrably light pink color and apply it to your upper lid, all the way to your brow line. Then apply your black eyeliner in a cat eye shape and then apply the darker shade in the shapes of %26lt; and %26gt; to the outer upper corner of your eyes. Do not apply the darker shade to your whole upper lid. For darker shades of shadow, get MAC's. For lighter shade, get Almay's.
yes black would look good with Hazel eyes.
Cover girl makes a soft tip eyeliner with a smudger on one end. This is the only eyeliner I use. It goes on like a crayon soft. So apply that and then dab the smudger into a charcoal colored shadow and smudge.
Or with any eyeliner apply the liner generously and then take a eyeshadow applicator or a brow pencil and smudge with eye shadow. You can go as dark or thick as you like.
Black eyeliner is neutral so it looks good on any color eyes, but for the smokey effect, I use a dark colored eyeshadow lightly under my eye (like liner) and I use a dark 2 tone for the top lid.
my daughter has beutiful big doll like hazel eyes the black was too dramatic so she wears a brown with a goldybrown highlighter and they are gorgeous you see her eyes b4 you see her
I think brown looks best on anyone because it gives a more natural look.
Apply the eyeliner to the out side of the lashes. Only line the outside half, top and bottom and smudge with a Q-tip.
Hope this helps.

To get the smoky look you want white or super light grey and a dark grey to black eye shadow and a good brush. If you want to use eye liner too apply it to the corners of your eyes only coming in a 1/4 of the way on top and bottom. use a small condensed brush to soften the lines. this look is about blending!!! go in circular motions!!!
I have blueish green eyes, and black is the best color, black goes with any color so it doesn't matter what color your eyes are, black will go really good
blue and black eye liners! works every time!
to get smokey eyes, use a liquid eyeliner. put it on the top and bottom and smudge wihile it is still wet. then, use a brown eye shadow on top and bottom, and lots of mascara; intense. black eyeliner will look great with hazel eyes. it really draws attention 2 them. good luck! i hope i helped u out!

Applying eye liner?
how do i use eye liner, mascara, and eye shadow in a natural way. i see all these girls who use makeup, but it looks so natural. when i do it, it always looks like i use to much. how do i make it look natural? Thanks!Applying eye liner?
well first off you apply eye liner to you eye lid....and it doesn't look natural to you cuz you haven't gotten used to it yet. but once you start wearing some make-up you will get used to it. start off by using earth tone eye shadows and then as you get used to it you mayy start using pinks and blues and purple.Applying eye liner?
there are application videos on like youtube and stuff.
watch them.
use ur eyeshadow as normal.
Use a liquid eyeliner on your upper lids, using a pencil on your lower.
Keep your hand steady and apply at the corners, moving to the middle of your eye. doing a thick stroke. Rest your hand. Now match the middle and move out going thinner as you move out. Repeat on the other eye
To get big eyelashes, apply 3 coats stroking up. Then where you applied the liquid eyeliner, use your brush to stroke down 3 times. Then stroke back up again.
Hope this helps
you want to go with shades that basicaly go with your skin tone. go to a make-up counter, they can help you out
Try out MACs fluidline eyeliner (and buy the angle brush), it'll allow you to get a really thin line...and it's super easy to apply. Not everyone can pull off black liner, so try a dark brown or a light tan if you are fairer skinned. Only apply your eyeliner from the middle of your eye to the outside (just where your eyelashes look thicker). This just makes your eyes look more awake. Don't do eyeliner under your eyes...it's clearly fake, jsut a little on your lash line above. Or try out a brown pencil, you just want your eyelashes to look thicker - that's the point of liner.
With mascara, try shades that aren't black; fairer people can use brown mascara or if you have dark hair use clear mascara, it's not so chunky.
Buy neutral colored eyeshadow...just browns, nothing shimmery. Just blend colors properly, like use a lighter brown or beige inside your eye and near the outside and in the crease, use a darker color.
Don't worry about foundation unless you need it, but toss on some blush and lipgloss to keep your 'natural' look.
You don't actually need eyeshadow...if it's not your thing, just skip it...it's not a prerequisite to looking pretty. You might be looking perfectly natural while wearing your makeup, but it might be a new thing for you that you aren't quite used to. Get a professional to do your makeup 'naturally' for you, you might like what they do more.
carefully....
EYE LINER: When using eye liner, try to avoid using dark, harsher shades like black. Browns work on almost anyone, and look more natural (the look you seem to be going for). Soft greys work nicely on lighter blue or green eyes, or amber eyes. You can also use white to widen and open up your eyes while keeping the liner subtle.
To make your eyes appear wider and as though there is less liner applied, only apply the eyeliner from the center of your lower lashline (just above your lower eyelashes; along the skin where the tear duct is) and outwards towards the outer corner of your eye. To add extra shape, put a small dot tilting upwards (towards your temples) on the outer corner of your eye.
MASCARA: Apply mascara after applying eye shadow so that extra shadow does not fall onto your newly darkened and lengthened lashes. Use brown or black mascara (preferably brown if you want a more natural look) and focus on the roots of the lashes for the illusion of length. If you don't want to apply eye liner, it can open up your eyes to put mascara on the lower lashes too.
EYE SHADOW: Use neutral shadows like beige and nude pink to keep your eyes widened and open while not being too wild. A pretty copper or silver works too if you want to add extra zing. Put a darker colour in the crease of your eyelids to really make your eyes pop. To make your eyes appear closer together, apply a darker shade on the inner half of your eyelid and a lighter shade on the outer half of your eyelid and blend well. To make them appear farther apart, do just the opposite - darker on the outside, lighter on the inside, blend well.
Best of luck!
XOXO,
Laurie
Here are the steps it takes
1. Loose Powder on your top and bottom eyelids to make the liner stick
2. When drawing the lines put your elbow on a table, counter or other hard surface to keep hands from shaking.
3. Start by doing the line on your top lash line. Don't start right in the corner look your reflection straight in the eye and either where your iris starts from the inner corner or right in the middle of your iris.
4. Draw a line either in short feathery strokes to get a light color or in one long glide to get a darker color.
5. repeat steps 3 and 4 for your bottom lash line
Optional:
1. After you draw the top line you can exceed your eye, no more then 1/4 of an inch, to give a little more attitude
2. You can make the top line a little thicker to make your eyes pop more
3. You can also blend the line a little bit to look more natural and smoky.
Suggested Products:
TruBlend Loose Powder With Minerals (light airy powder)
CG Smoothers Eyeliner (even line with no pulling/tugging)
Perfect Point Plus (self sharpening pencil
Perfect Blend (Classic pencil with blender tip)--This one needs to be worn in a little first either by warming for a few seconds or scribbling on the back of your hand-
Brow and Eye Makers (for both eyebrows and lashlines)
Liquid Pencil (part liquid color glides on like a pen)
CG Eyeslicks Gel Eyecolor(shadow/pencil glides on smooth)-I don't suggest using it as a shadow, it just doesn't work great
All of the products are available from CoverGirl
eyeshadow: using your fingers, a little applicator, or a q-tip spread a medium shade on your eyelid, a semi-dark color in the part that creases when your eyes are open normally, and a light color on the bone underneath your eyebrow
mascara: hold the wand on top of the outer corners of lashes and slowly sweep through.
if you need any more help finding your perfect product, have any questions or comments feel free to email me.
liner: get your hand as steady as possible, then make ONE line with the pencil/brush on your upper lid line (right above lashes). fill in lightly, as neccessary, if you missed a part. then use your finger or a tissue and remove any that is outside of where you want it (on the lid itself, on the corners of the eyes).
mascara: treat it like sugar- it's so good, but looks bad if you have it every day. only use it on special occasions, or when on a stage (choir, theatre, etc). mascara will make your eyes stand out much more than they would without, and i personally have never seen someone look natural with it.
eye shadow: use dark tones that accentuate your eye color (brown: earth tones, green: greens and greys, hazel: all of the above, blue: greys and dark, faded blues) on your upper lid, stopping at the crease. this will bring out your eyes without the overpowering effect of unnatural colors (pastels and crayon colors). THE LIGHTER YOU PUT IT ON, THE MORE NATURAL IT WILL LOOK! you can also use a highlight (one or two shades lighter than foundation/normal skin color) on the bone right under your eyebrow, fading this into the crease of your eye. this looks tends to be more dramatic, but can be used on a normal basis.
feel free to tweak this as neccessary for your eyes, though. makeup is all about expression of who you are, so please do!
The trick is to use as little as possible so it doesn't look like you have much. Get some colors that accident rather than pop out. I always stay away from the harsh colors and go with more softer ones. So even if you put on a lot it still is a bit toned down.
ho dear just take smooth brush apply it with out shaking the hand. apply Daley as parodist u can get the natural look.first take the gum which u get with eyelashes put some on u r finger n rub it and put it on the eyelash and past it

EYE LINER!! insturctions to apply!?
I am a beginner make-up user. I want to put on my eye liner but i need instructions.....i really don't know anything about how to.
please give step-by-step instructions. I really don't get it. i have tried and my eye liner doesn't show up. What should i do about that?? thanx!!EYE LINER!! insturctions to apply!?
you are being too cautious....I mean don't be overly confident at first, be carfeul or you'll end up looking like a clown.
Top: half way out...don't start all the way in toward the tear duct, go out about halfway and come all the way out to the end of your eyelashes to the corner of your eye.
Bottom: pull you bottom eyelid down and put the liner on the inner part right above your eyelashes(not IN your eye but the edge of your bottom eyelid) half way out toward the corner of your eye...once again...not from the tearduct. Come all the way out to the end of your other line.
PS. be sure to connect the two lines or it'll look funny. :]
Good luckEYE LINER!! insturctions to apply!?
ok if you are using a pencil eye liner then i suggest using a mechanical eye liner. Its kind of like a mechanical pencil except it justt scrolls out. i never used pencil eye liner because i personally never had the patience for it to get worn in enough to show up good. With the mechanical kind it will show up after you try it like once.
On the bottom rims of your eyes just act like your drawing a line on your skin. IT DOESNT HURT!!!!!! ok it may look like it hurts but it doesnt. it may tickle a little but thats about it. I personally use it on both my top and bottom rims. to do the top pull your lids up a little (not so much you are bending it in half like the weird people) and then do the same on the bottom. IT WILL TICKLE really bad and give you dry eyes a few times but its really not that hard. aand trust me i know how to use eyeliner... im like addicted lol
Liquid eyeliner:
(beginner level)
1. take your brush and load a fair amount of liner.
2. take a face mirror and tilt it towards you so you need to look half down less. (when you look half down, your eyes naturally close halfway and you actually get to see your lash line)
3. SLOWLY draw a FINE thin line along the upper lash line.(you can do it in small strokes if your starting out)
4. practice practice practice
tip: as your skill gets better, you may want to try out different thickness at different parts of the line for a really dramatic effect. DON'T line your water line (the pink part of your eye) with liquid liner
Pencil eyeliner:
(the simplest and easiest)
I dont really know how to explain this.. but im gonna try cos its suppose to be REALLY simple. i dont know what your problem is..
1. take your pencil and tug GENTLY (not too hard cos in the long run your skin might sag there) and line JUST below the waterline.
2. for the Upper lash line, sharpen the pencil. Look halfdown(like in the liquid liner) and draw as close as possible to your lash line. you might want a thicker or thinner line. I like to pull it out over my eyes abit for a lil cat's eye effect (you dont NEED liner for this look altho cat's eye looks better with liquid)
Subtle Effects:
Line just from the middle to the outer corners
dramatic night/ smokey look:
Line the whole top and bottom lid and smudge. (you might need to put more)
emo/goth:
A whole lot of eyeliner, but be careful to prepare your skin properly and use a very good eyeliner or you'll get racoon eyes!
Body shop and stila eyeliners are the best!
ok well u need a good eyeliner...i use marykate and ashley eyleiner...black...its cheap and very good.....so put it on the bottom and like on the inside line of your eye...oput it inside and a lil bit on the outside...that way if it wears off on the inside u can still see it....i hope this helps if it doesnt email me kk?

Tips on applying eye liner?
I always look gothy!
help?Tips on applying eye liner?
Liquid eye liner is better than the pencil ones to me;
Close one eyelid and place the liner brush in your right hand if you're right handed and vice versa.
Put your finger at the end of the closed eyelid and pull your lid horizontally backwards (towards your ears). You don't have to pull too far.
Starting at the end of your eyelid closest to your nose, run the liner along eyelid staying very close to eye lashes. Only go 3/4 of the length of your eye lid.
Now open your eye and wait a few seconds for the liner to dry. Fan with your hands to quicken process.
When dry finish your lined eye. I like to draw a ';tail'; that tapers. If you mess the tail up, just dip a Q-Tip in water, wipe away and start over.
Now repeat these steps with the other eye.Tips on applying eye liner?
Just put eyeliner on your waterline and nowhere else - it'll look natural and pretty. Also, if you use black eyeliner now and want it to look more natural I suggest trying a dark brown eyeliner instead. You can find some very pretty brown eyeliners with hints of gold that will make any eye color pop and look pretty.
Don't use too much heavy eyeliner. Maybe tone it down a shade, and add a soft color, of eyeshadow above it.Or a light eyeliner, above the regular. Good Luck!!!
Oh, sharpen your eyeliner, for the dark pencil, to make it more fine. The other can be a bit smudgy.....Looking Good!
I use this: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh…
You can put on as little or as much as you like. If thats you in your avatar, you'd be fine with the color it comes with but you can get a dark brown powder as well for a natural look.
don't apply it on the lid, apply it on the area under the lashes (inside the eye) on the top lid, and above the bottom lashes.
(=
try to avoid black and go for like a dark indigo color instead. And if you make it so that it's dark on top, but on the bottom only go about halfway across your bottom eyelid and make it light and faded.
good luck
Try a lighter color instead of black, and don't put it all around your eye, just put it on the top, and then in the corner of your eye furtherest away from your nose.
put thin thin line on the top lid, then put a thin line on the bottom lid. and curl your lashes :)
Go for thin lines. If your eyeliner runs, dab a cotton swab in some make up remover and wipe away the smudging/excess eyeliner. (In case you don't do that already.)
apply less if you look glossy! use a pencil eyeliner
just apply a thin line along your bottom lashes water line.
or try different colours other than black to look less gothy
Pull down your eye lid and apply it on the inner side, but slightly on the outside. That way, only a thin line it on the lashes. =]
Use the eyeliner that comes with the sponge tip. It can be used to ';smear'; the eyeliner.
pull eye lid down and do staright like across wlo getting under eye

or try different colours other than black to look less gothy
Pull down your eye lid and apply it on the inner side, but slightly on the outside. That way, only a thin line it on the lashes. =]
Use the eyeliner that comes with the sponge tip. It can be used to ';smear'; the eyeliner.
pull eye lid down and do staright like across wlo getting under eye

Is there an easy proper way of applying eye liner (crayon)?
without messing up..Is there an easy proper way of applying eye liner (crayon)?
basically pull down yr lower eye lid just a little bit (gently) and use a ';pencil'; eyeliner (easier to take off it you mess up) and apply it just above the little eyelashes on yr lower eye lid...it might tickle and sting yr eye a little bit but through time you'll get used to it. for the upper eye lid stretch yr eye from the side and apply eye liner on/ or above the eye lashes to make just a thin line. hopefully that helped.. idk how to explain it any other way.Is there an easy proper way of applying eye liner (crayon)?
Crayon is not difficult to put, just put it closes to yr lashes.
1. pull eyelid taut so you have a flat surface to work with
2. draw a thin line right into the lash line for a lash look OR right above lashes (leave no space) for a shape boost
3. smudge upwards with q-tip for a natural look and to erase/cover up any mistakes
try it to know
it all just depends on the practice. I have learned that the best way to do it is hold and stretch the eye out with one hand and just make a straight thin line closest to the eyelash.
ok i always put it on the line of my ilid that's the old fasion way and 4 messing up just b careful
Yeah, use a pipe wrench.

Hi Rosie dont start in the inner corner of the eye start in the middle when you get to the outer corner move the brush upwards so that their is a tiny space between the line and your lashes. Then finish just past where your eye ends with an upward flick
take liquid eyeliner. rest two of your fingers (not holding the eyeliner) agains your cheek to get the line straight. follow the natural line of growth of your eye lashes and when you reach the end (outer corner of the eye) make a little move upwards (as if you were drawing a tick). it will look great.

Hi I have the same problem as you, I think it will never work for us, I think its because my eyes are too round to start off with so, this is why they look rounder, for me anyways. I dont know about you. I think that we dont need eye liner because if we just apply to our bottom lashes then apply a good curlying mascara then we dont need eyeliner on the top lashes. Id pay more attention to the lips and cheeks in stead.
Use a pen or liquid eyeliner. Or sharpen the pencil really thin.
Just try to follow the natural curve of your eyelid. If you have to tug on your eye Tug upwards instead of to the side. If you tug sideways, your line will come out way above your natural lash line.

You could just try not applying eye liner to the bottom. Some guys think its slutty anyway. My friend does this weird point thing, it goes up and out, It works for her, but she looks kind of goth sometimes, if she doesn't do it just right. But just make sure that you don't give any kinda arch shape to the top, when applying. Good luck, girl!!!

My tip is to start in the middle of your top lid and work outwards and upwards just past your eye.
use a soft kohl rather than a hard liner that you can smudge a little with your finger for a more smoky effect.
first of all dont use liquid eyeliner, a soft eyepencil is better and easier to use for this. you need to line the very inner upper corner of your eyes and then the outer upper corners. dont draw liner across the whole of your top lid if you dont want that 'round' look. if you dont get the liner perfect just smudge the outer corners slightly bringing it up and into the crease of your eyes. also when your drawing liner underneath your eyes start from the middle to the outer corners. sometimes it looks nice if you draw the liner slightly inside the eye as this can give more of a cat eye look. hope this helpes! if you still cant get the hang of it pop down your local boots or debenhams makeup department and ask one of the consultants there to show you :D
Eyeliner is not suitable for everyone. Try putting a line of shiny white extending beyond the outer corner of the eye and then apply your eyeshadow, loads of black mascara and kohl and your eyes will look huge.

Where on the eye, should eye liner be applied to give the effect of larger eyes?
focus on where your eye iris are (for most people, it's the middle haha)
so line the middle, extend the line across your lash line (this makes your lash line look lusher, therefore eyes look bigger)
CURL lashes (this opens your eyes) and invest in a good length mascara, or maybe even falsies
liner on the outer corners are optional, because although it makes your eyes wider, it also makes your eyes closer together
also optional, line a little outside your lash line (almost like a cat eye, but more natural) so it seems like, the excess liner is actually your lid
i also recommend putting on a nude color, or white (nude if your eyes get the allergy yellow in them) in your inner corners
this makes your eyes seem more openWhere on the eye, should eye liner be applied to give the effect of larger eyes?
Keep the liner light and even. You can use a cotton bud to smudge a little liner and achieve an exotic look. The liner can be applied with a lighter line on the inner eye and thickening as it goes outward to offset the effect of close-set eyes. The right application of eye liner makeup can create the effect of more expressive eyes.Where on the eye, should eye liner be applied to give the effect of larger eyes?
Start at the middle of your eye and go to the corner (outer) ((Don't put it on your waterline!). (Put it on top of your eye too)
Then what I do is; take a light color eyeliner (I use a light pink one) and put that on your waterline, go to the inside corner and go up following your eye. (do this with your eye open)
Then mascara only on the outside corner of your eye (only on your upperlid)
And you're done :)
Good luck x
thin on the inside of the top lid and thicker towards the outside.
add a 'wing' to the top lid
on the bottom lid, darker on the outside and lighter towards the center, it should eventually stop before u finish the length of the eye.
(dont go all the way around, it makes it look like ur eyes are 'restricted')

HELP! Any tips for applying liquid eye liner?
I am pretty good at applying make-up, but my eye lashes are naturally really long and curly, and I find they get in the way a bit when I'm trying to use liquid eye liner (especially on the bottom!). Any tips from people with similar issues? Thanks!HELP! Any tips for applying liquid eye liner?
l'oreal has the best liquid liners. %26amp; it doesn't matter if you don't make a straight line, just go over it with a dark eyeshadow to blend it better, always looks good that way! =)HELP! Any tips for applying liquid eye liner?
I recommend you use pencil instead of liquid, its a mess! Lol if you stick with liquid and make sure the tip of the brush is sponge not hairs that or make sure it's not too thin and when applying stretch the end of the eye out.
The bottom I'm always stumped by. Sorry.
But on the top I heard to pull your lid by your lashes and them put it on, it gets closer to the lashline. Then curl your lashes to make it look better.
You should dot your line with a pencil, then do the line in pencil and go over it with liquid eyeliner. ..to prevent mistakes.
Don't use liquid for your bottom lid; use pencil!
To apply liquid easier, try placing your arm on a desk so you don't shake and surprise yourself and mess up.
well make sure your hand is out of the way when applying on the top lash line
as for the bottom, i suggest using eyeliner pencil
You could line your eyes with mascara. It'll have to be a thin brush though. I haven't done this personally but I've heard of other people doing it and getting great results.

Should i use liquid eye liner? should i apply in the inner rims or outter? which looks better?
i can't decide how to do my eye make up to look great- i'm only 17 so i don't want to use too much %26amp; none of my friends wear alot of eye make up- should i use liquid eye liner on the tops %26amp; should i wear it in the inner rims of my lashes or the outter? i have green eyes but i don't know what eye shadow- i used mauve because i read it brought out green but i didn't like it very much. i just don't know how to do my make up, if anyone can give me a step by step with tips i would love it %26amp; appreciate itShould i use liquid eye liner? should i apply in the inner rims or outter? which looks better?

Please don't put liquid eyeliner on your inner rims. Ouch! That cannot be good for your eye, plus it would burn. I put liquid eyeliner on my lid and under my eye, but I would recommend just putting it on top for now (until you get the hang of it). Use thin lines and then open your eye to see what it looks like. Add thickness if you want to. Just practice with the eyeliner before you shower.

If you put it on the outer eye corner your eyes will look bigger
no bottom lid
above lid swipe outward give the cat eye effect
a gold eyeshadow would look awesome with your green eyes
use a brown liner liquid or pencil
on the lid follow your lash line
on the bottom go under your lash line
the brown mascara
the brown wont be so harsh you can smudge the liner a bit too for a smokey eye
good eyeshadow colors for you
any thing with gold or pinks
i think you should use jet black eye liner only on the bottom of your eyes in the inner rims of your eyelashes and stretch it out i cm outside the corner of your eye. then put brownish- goldish eyeshadow on your eyelids. then put a higher concentrated brown on the corner of the lids and smooth it out with the already color on the lids. :]
black liquid liner can look really good on girls. i just put a thin line on my top lids and it can look really cute without looking like you are wearing too much makeup. just DON'T put liquid liner on your bottom lids. girls who do that look like raccoons. here are some pics of good ways to use liquid liner if u want suggestions: :)

After you apply the eye glue, can you still put eye shadow and eye liner on?you put eye makeup before or after?
um...eye glue? do you mean for false eyelashes? After you apply the eye glue, can you still put eye shadow and eye liner on?you put eye makeup before or after?
Trim the lashes.
If the lash is wider than your eye, trim one side of it lash by lash.
Optionally, trim the individual lashes to make them look more natural. They should be longer towards the outer corner of the eye, and the lash length should vary slightly.
Squeeze eyelash glue onto the back of your hand and run the eyelash along it. Blow softly from edge to edge to make the glue a little less runny to apply your lashes.
Pick the lashes up with tweezers and bring it as close to your natural lash line as possible.
Press from end to end and hold until the glue dries (30 seconds to a minute, or sometimes less depending upon the adhesive). This allows the glue to set so that when you lift your fingertips from it, the lashes won't come along for the ride
Apply mascara while pressing your finger behind the fake lashes. This will bond the false lashes with yours.(It may be beneficial to use an eyelash curler before applying mascara)
Fill any gaps between the false lashes and your natural lash line with eyeliner.
Individual lashes are applied in the same way. Trim the lashes so that they vary in length, with the ones towards the outer corner of the eye being longer. When applying them, start in the outer corner and work your way in.
Remove the lashes before sleeping by using the special remover provided with your lashes. Otherwise, wet a washcloth with warm water and hold it over the lashes to loosen the glue. Petroleum jelly can help with dislodging particularly stubborn lashes. Whatever you do, don't pull too hard, or you might take some of your own lashes off, too!
Store the lashes in their original packaging, so they do not lose their shape and you can reuse them.
For a more dramatic effect, apply eyelashes on the bottom of your eyes as well.
Look for black eyelash glue at your local pharmacy or beauty supply store. It makes goofs look like eyeliner.
Go easy on the glue so that it doesn't build up on the false eyelashes or clump up your real eyelashes and leak into your eye.
To avoid using too much glue--take a straight pin and stick it into an old cork. The cork makes it easier to control and provides a handle. Dip the FLAT end of the pin into glue and dab it along the false lashes.
After applying glue to the lashes wait a few moments until the glue starts to set. It sticks better and won't move as much on your eye. The more glue you use the longer you will need to wait.
It only takes a small amount of glue to keep lashes on. Use the cork and pin method above to put a fine line of glue to your lashes.
Most glues dry clear
The lash applicators are cumbersome. If any fine adjustments are needed they can be done with fingers or regular tweezers.
Apply the false lashes as close to your natural eye lash line as possible.
If false eyelash glue gets in your eyes, take the eyelashes off and wash your eyes out. After drying the eyelashes, you may be able to apply them again.
Use the least amount of glue necessary to avoid accidents.
Use clean eye lashes, tweezers and other accessories to avoid contamination
Never use someone else's old eye lashes without sanitizing.
Theatrical lashes can include glitter or other decorative touches. This glitter can sometimes get into your eyes.
For a good tip, apply black eyeliner BEFORE you stick on the lashes. It's easier to handle with when you're done and gives it a clean natural finish.

Liquid eyeliner-I ma not getting the flow of applying eye liner?
How do i apply liquid eye liner with out any smudge..I feel it v.difficult to apply by myself. Using eye pencil is very painful since i need to press a bit harder..Any tips????????/Liquid eyeliner-I ma not getting the flow of applying eye liner?
get either a soft eye pencil (the kind that you ';roll'; up are usually soft, but you can also find the kind you sharpen in soft, just make sure they SAY soft), or for liquid, try this:
pull the liquid applicator out of the bottle of liner and rub the excess on the sides. then kind of pull your eye to the side so the skin is very taut. then you shouldn't have enough excess to smear everywhere, and the taut eyelid will give you better control with your line.Liquid eyeliner-I ma not getting the flow of applying eye liner?
get the eye liner embroidery done.it solve all your eye liner woes.it's semi permanent and you'll looked great 24/7
Try Almay. It's easy to handle. Has the sponge tip with a fine point. It also grips naturally. Practice.
http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-appl鈥?/a>
1ST, DONT USE EYEPENCIL IF U HAVE TO PRESS HARD AS IT WRINKELS THE SKIN!
AFTER APPLYING LIQUID EYELINER, JUST BLUR THE EDGES WITH A WET COTTON BUD OR A LITTLE BIT OF EYESHADE AT THE TIP OF A BRUSH
I hope you're only using liquid liner to line the top of your lid (above the lash line) or under your lower lash line. I don't see how it could smudge (unless you mean not coming out straight, which I will then tell you the only way is to practice) when applying it, unless you're using it in the water line which is not what it's intended purpose is for, for that you use a gel or pencil liner.
I love liquid eyeliner! I use it everyday! I found that pencil eyeliners aren't as dramatic and don't last as long. Try getting a liquid eyeliner that has a sponge tip, the brush tips can be hard to use. Maybelline and loreal make great ones that aren't as pricey as the department stores. I personally like Lancome's Artliner in black. Anyways...the key is to take your time! Try to lean against something or rest your arm on the faucet and stay close to the mirror. Keep your eye open and dot the liner as close to the lash line as you can, then gently go across the dotted line. The lighter the pressure the thinner the line will be. buy the liquid eye liner with a fine tip...those are easier to use
i usually go with the eye pencil....i like the way it looks more than liquid
get either a soft eye pencil (the kind that you ';roll'; up are usually soft, but you can also find the kind you sharpen in soft, just make sure they SAY soft), or for liquid, try this:
pull the liquid applicator out of the bottle of liner and rub the excess on the sides. then kind of pull your eye to the side so the skin is very taut. then you shouldn't have enough excess to smear everywhere, and the taut eyelid will give you better control with your line.Liquid eyeliner-I ma not getting the flow of applying eye liner?
get the eye liner embroidery done.it solve all your eye liner woes.it's semi permanent and you'll looked great 24/7
Try Almay. It's easy to handle. Has the sponge tip with a fine point. It also grips naturally. Practice.

It just takes practice and a technique you are comfortable with. Good luck!

this article has some great tips on eyeliner and applying that you can check out. also other handy skin care tips
u could buy it at wal-mart. u apply it under ur eye
Go to a salon and get them to teach you how to apply it. Nothing worse than a gay man with his make up wonky!
at any store that sells cosemetic. Make sure you buy the one that twist open and you dont need to sharpen or burn . When applying be careful and gently put it on the inner bottom part of your eye. thin layer not thick dont want it to look to gaudy
ask your mom!
i personally think that no one truly needs eyeliner on a daily basis...and honey, if you're gay, that doesn't mean you need to wear eyeliner at all. being gay does not equal wearing make up. i think you'll be just fine without it.
you can buy it like n e were
u put it under your eye lashes away from the eye. you can get it at supermarkets and pharmacies etc.
You can buy eyeliner a number of places... Walmart, drugstores, grocery stores, or you can go with a more expensive eyeliner at department stores. Apply a thin line of eyeliner to the small crease that your eyelashes grow out of.
No, DON'T put it in the pink part of your eye!
depends on the look you are after, invest in a good one as the cheap ones can be a bit hard and scratch the eye area. If you want a subtle look, then gently rub OVER the lower eyelashes, just once or twice and not quite to the inside corner, if you want a harsher look then gently run the pencil inside the rim of the eye, corner to corner. Always use a big mirror so you can see the full effect.
try a smokey look by using a eye shadow and a good angle brush...like a MAC # 266 it is great. I used to work for MAC and I have done guy makeovers before some wanted full on makeovers and some wanted to have shine removed for photos, either way it was fun! U can call a counter or store close to u and see if u can get a makeover...usually it is free with a purchase. You can book it early enough if u didn't want to be the Star! : ) hope this helps
You can buy them from nearest drugstore, or department stores or order on-line. Mary Kay has good products and you can order on-line go http://www.marykay.com/s_azad/default.as鈥?/a> , shipping is free
eyeliner is for everyone, doesn't matter how old are you if you are gray, just pick the color that will suit you more.
hahahahaha it seemed like u said ur a guy and u wanna wear eyeliner
ok buddy no offence but guys dont look hot in eyeliner and no u dont look scary either.... its really lame and its getting old...
buy it anywhere, wal mart... macy's
next thing is the brand. I say go for Revlon or Maybeline
eye-liner is very hard to describe... mostly trial %26amp; error. Most girls just try , if it comes out ok they stick with that technique
You're supposed to start inwards and work your way outwards to the corner of your eye though
I just bought an eye-liner by Physicians Formula from CVS, for about $6 or so. It covers well, and doesn't bother my sensitive eyes (I wear contacts). The package will tell you exactly how to apply it. Don't! apply it right next to your eyeball. You will draw a line just above your lashes on your top lid, and just below the lashes on the bottom lid. Experiment, you can always wipe/wash it off, and do it over.
Re: Additional details
If you have to ask, it's maybe not for you. Try wearing it to parties and such with your friends. And if you're really confident then maybe try it during the day. It depends where you live I suppose. Up here in New England anything goes, but in the South and Midwest I'm guessing the attitude is a lot different.
wear black or mad colours like blue or pink liners stick to pencil as it is easier to apply. apply it under your eye to the pink part with the hair growth support your eye to get a good straight line.if you have trouble drawing the line do small dots and then join them check out mac they have great stuff very funky colurs etc or else loreal for a cheaper variety
Umm...If you want to wear it then who am I stop you? You can buy it at any make-up store or department store in the make-up isle. You put it on, on your bottom eyelid. Good luck !
Eyeliner for a Guy? Oh well to learn go to cosmetic counter, like Mary Kay or Lord and Taylor's or a Beauty Salon it's their job to teach how to put it on, and use it and what type is right for you. Good luck and have fun learning
Go into boots and talk to a No7 consultant, they will be only too pleased to help you choose a colour and show you how to apply it. I worked for No7 years ago and had a lot of male customers so dont worry as they are normally very down to earth and friendly. Good luck.credit bureau

Any good advice for applying eye liner to top lids?
just cant seem to get it right! never get straight enough line, although i rest my elbow on table for steadiness, and if i DO manage to get it straight enough, when i open my eye it looks too far away from my lashes. i seem to be the only woman in the world that cant get this right! any advice is truly appreciated. thanxAny good advice for applying eye liner to top lids?
Stretch out the lid with your fingers so that the eyelid is taut. Then try. It makes it a hell of a lot easier! Apply it right to the lash line. What also may help is putting pencil eyeliner on the inside of the lid and you mascara so its all dark, and it should eliminate any pale bits.
I hope I make sense good luck!Any good advice for applying eye liner to top lids?
Start with a sharp liner, and first draw a line that is as close to your lash line as possible. Then, go back and draw the line however thick you want it to be, but instead of making one big line, draw little tiny lines that connect together-it's easier to get it straight that way.
Is it still not straight? No worries! Just grab a q-tip, lick one end (or place a drop of water on it), twist it around on the back of your hand so that there's no cotton fibers sticking out, then run it along the edge of the line you drew...this should smooth it out.
Liner still not close enough to your lash line? Again, no worries! Get a matte black eyeshadow (if your eyeliner is black) and a liner brush or any thin or flat brush, and use that to brush some black shadow along your lash line. It will blend right in the with liner and get really close to your lashes and in between your lashes to cover any spots.
Right well first of all make sure its liquid and has a thin aplicator brush. I use a rimmel londond one its great. Secondly, make sure you are in front of a good clear mirror and have good lighting. Now heres my trick to getting eyeliner perfectly straight. Shut the eye your applyling it too and then stretch your eyelid by pulling the skin on the outside corner (near your hair). This way there will be no creases in the skin for it to go bumby and you eye will be slightly open so you will be able to tell how low to do it. Hope I helped.
Are you using liquid liner?? If so, try drawing a line in pencil first and then go over the top, this helps me alot.
Or if you are just using pencil, instead of drawing a big line just do tiny little dashes.
put mascara on first, that way you will have an idea of where to put it. stretch your eyelid out and glide itright to the bottom of your lashes/ skin., almost as if u missed a spot on the bottom of ur lashed
along with all the other top tips - i am really unsteady but try to be as steady as possible and whatever goes wrong i wipe away the messed up bits with a wet cotton bud - if ur careful u can only wipe off the wobbly part and leave urself with the desired look
when using a liquid eyeliner, close your eye and stretch your skin a little and make sure you apply the eyeliner in one go and do the touch ups, one day you will get there.
watch you tube video on how to apply make up it is amazing free tutorials.

What is the best way to apply eye liner?
i want to put on thick black eye shadow and eye liner.
is there any good techniques, i only have eyeliner and eye shadow.
should i do something to my eyes before applying or something anything that is relevent will helpWhat is the best way to apply eye liner?
If you want to do a basic thick shadow and liner, use the eye liner to line the inner side corner of your eye to the outside corner. Then do the same with your lower eyelid and your other eye. It's easier to use the eye liner if you rub the tip of the pencil onto your hand a few times to warm it up. For the eyeshadow, put it on after the eye liner by dipping your makeup brush or sponge applicator into the shadow, swiping it on the back of your hand once (to get the excess powder off the makeup tool), and then starting from inner corner to outer corner of your eye, put the shadow on. You can do this a few times (with the hand trick) in order to makeup your shadow darker. Be sure to blend your eye liner with your shadow by smudging the eyeliner. If you want a more smoky eye, you can smudge the eyeliner on your lower eyelids. To make the thick black eye shadow look more ';natural,'; you can try to fade it out by using less and less eye shadow when you are putting it on farther away from your eyelashes.
If you want the shadow to last all day long, you should use an eyeshadow primer. If you want even darker eyes, use black mascara. It's best to apply makeup on a clean face, free of dirt and oil. You should wash your face first before applying your eye shadow and eye liner. What is the best way to apply eye liner?
apply a light layer first as a guideline so u know where to apply it and then darken it as much as you want. other then that just practice when you have the time.

Plzz i want to know can i apply kajal or eye-liner ,my eye-sight is not normal.?
i wear spectacles ,i've got to know that one having eye-sight problem shouldn't apply kajal or eye-liner it affects the eye of that person is this right fact.... plzzzzzzzzzzzz help mePlzz i want to know can i apply kajal or eye-liner ,my eye-sight is not normal.?
Kajal adds to beauty and eyesight ,provided that kajal is pure , all the kajals available in the market contain lead which is harmful for eyes, so please avoid using kajal unless you know it is purePlzz i want to know can i apply kajal or eye-liner ,my eye-sight is not normal.?
If you've got to wear glasses because you're short/long-sighted, then applying eyeliner isn't any different from a normal sighted person, and neither are the risks. Just try not to poke yourself in the eye with it or anything silly.
If you've got glasses for other reasons, then ask your optician if you're worried.
dere is absolutely no harm in putting kajal..
i myself am myopic , but i use kajal often.
the only thing is that u shud go for a good quality branded kajal . also you should put a THIN line under the eye, but it shud NOT be put too close to inner membrane of the lower eyelid else it will cause redness and itching
nooo...hu told u that?? itz ok if u apply kajal.it doesnt affect in any adverse manner.
and if u still have doubts,go in for a herbal kohl.and still have doubts, then u can alwayz consult a doctor.
but it doesnt affect.i also wear spects, and i apply kohl.
Hi,
don't buy simply kajal from market. if you know some one like Humdard dawakhan hakeem or famous ayurvadyachar. after consulting proper way, you can use
take care, eyes is very sensitive parts of body
no problem if you wear specticles even then you can apply kajal but of good quality. i have heard that if we apply kajal our eye sight never decreases. but if it suits you.
I also wear spectales but still I wear eye-liner.I believe that it's just a myth.It doesn't affect our eyesight at all.My mother says that applying 'surma' really helps....it makes our eyesight sharp.
kajal doesnt harm ur eyes it jst glorifies eyes n make them attractive.
its better u consult eye specialist dont ask people who dont know...

Does anyone have any tips for applying a powder eye liner?
I bought the Loreal HIP eyeliner. It looks like it would be a liquid eyeliner because of the container it comes in but it's not, it's a very fine powder. When I use the applicator it came with specs fall off as i'm applying and end up on my cheecks just below my eyes. It also smudges alot when I go to wipe or dust them away. Does anyone have any ideas?Does anyone have any tips for applying a powder eye liner?
maybe u shud wet it. This one girl takes like dark powder eyeshadow and wets it and uses it as liquid liner..Does anyone have any tips for applying a powder eye liner?
Really, it's a powder?! How odd! Are you sure it is meant to be that way. If I were you I'd take it back to the shop and check if it is meant to be like that.
However if it is a power, and you do want to use it then I have an easy solution. Put a layer of pressed powder (Not foundation. Pressed powder) under your eye. Then, apply the eyeliner until you get the line you want. When you are finished, simply wipe away the line of powder. No makeup wipes needed, no smudges!
Hope I helped :)
Apply it with a brush WET.
Put a folded tissue in under your eyes.
Have face powder on, so, if any falls on your face, you can just quickly brush it away with the powder brush-without it smudging. It may smudge because you have a liquid foundation/just foundation/moisturiser on and it sticks to it.
Best answer? :)
Make sure you tap off the excess from the brush. Then apply like you would any other liner, staying close to the lash line and blending where needed.
If any does fall off just remove the excess with a fan brush. Working with powders always has the excess falling risk - just be sure your brush isn't over loaded and you'll reduce how much powder falls.
Good luck!
I never heard of that. I only thought they came out with gel liners? If you have a powder one for what ever reason I would probably try dipping my brush in water before applying it. Hope this helps. :]
Use a primer first on your eyes (concealer works just as well for me) and make sure you tap all of the excess off from the brush. If you think that the applicator is the problem, buy a good angled brush. I love all brushes from The Body Shop (especially their new kabuki).
Anyways, the primer should help the liner stick to your eyelid well.

What are good tips for applying a pencil eye liner?
i have a pencil eye liner and it never seems to go on easily...any tips? What are good tips for applying a pencil eye liner?
BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL. Use a dull tipped pencil. It's always fun until somebody loses an eye. What are good tips for applying a pencil eye liner?
Start from the outer part of the eye and draw inwards. Use a pencil that is sharpened, but make sure the liner is soft enough for easy application. I like Clinique, Mary Kay's, and Almays eye liners. If you have blue eyes, brown liners are great. Black is always a staple color. I prefer black-browns for a softer effect. You can also soften the liner line by smudging it with your finger a little bit.
Draw a line across the upper lid just above the lashes, from the inside corner to the outside corner of the eye. Soften the look by gently smudging the line with your brush, a cotton swab or your finger. Your line should be slightly thicker at the outside corner, becoming thinner as it moves in toward your nose. Using your brush or pencil, lightly stroke the area.
It depends on what type of look you're going for.
For a Rounder Eye... use white eye liner on the inside of your eye %26amp; a dark brown or black on the upper %26amp; lower eyelids. If you don't have an eyeliner smudger, use your ring finger to smudge the eyeliner slightly, so it's not such a harsh line.
For a Catty looking eye...use black or dark brown eyeliner on the inner eye. Then line the upper lid with the same color. When applying mascara, don't put any on the lower lashes, and when you apply to the upper lashes...brush the lashes toward the outer eye, not straight up. That will give you more of a Cat Eye.
Roll it on the back of your hand a few time to warm it up. Some brands of eye liner are too hard and need warmed to soften up. When applying it, make sure you slightly rest your hand on you cheek, or if you need to, hold your penciling hand at the wrist with you other hand (for support). This should help give you a nice even line. And remember, don't push hard...just glide along the lashes!

I heat up the tip of the eyeliner with a blow dryer for about 7 seconds, this melts the tip a little so that the liner will be easier to apply and it will not tug on your skin. Then i rest my elbow of the table and lightly smudge small strokes on my lashline from the outter corner to the inner (towards the nose).
Hope this helps. It took me a few months to get my eyeliner to look nice
They have ';softer'; ones that will apply easier. The only thing is that then it also smudges easier.
I usually pull the corner of my eye to straighten out the skin and that helps a lot but I've been told this is ';not good for your skin';. Oh, well.
- wet the eyeliner
- tilt your head back
- strech your eye like a japenese eye
- rest your arm on something
I love eyeliner :)

Is applying Kajal or eye liner to our eyes affects our eyes or make our eyes impure?
Because my friend have eye sore.On consulting with the eye specialist he advised her that not to apply kajal. On applying, dust deposits in our eyes.Is it so?Is applying Kajal or eye liner to our eyes affects our eyes or make our eyes impure?
Hi there,
';good quality kajal';....
';good applicator';...
';good clean hands'; with which to apply...
nothing will happen and it is supposed
to be good for eyes...
best wishes...Is applying Kajal or eye liner to our eyes affects our eyes or make our eyes impure?
May be and may not be. It totally depends on the brand that you use. Use a good branded one. if your want to highlight your eyes than try eye liners.
In the past ,there was the misperception that applying kajal to eyes is good for eyes like pouring oil in ears and the like. The kajal preparations, home made or commercial contain Lead and other impurities which are harm ful to the eyes. In infants and children after rubbing eyes the fingers are invariably kept in mouth and this leads to low grade Lead poisoning and retarded brain development. Sometimes as in the case of your friend there may be an allergic reaction to its contents or frank infection if there is a minor abrasion in conjunctiva( white part of globe) or cornea (the transparent central circle) .For eyes to appear larger and appealing some women still apply kajal but it is strongly disapproved by ophthalmologists or eye doctors.
If your friend is applying eyeliner to the bottom inner eyelid it is not a good idea. Our tear relies on the oils that are produced from the meibomian glands in our eyelids.
Tell your friend to apply her eyeliner on the outer eyelid at the eyelid margin to be safe and still beautiful!
ya sometimes it does happens and some peole are allergic to these makeup products..........................
may be the kajal used is not a good quality. actually kajal is good for eyes.
i am an eye specialist too. of course it is never ';good'; for the eye to put kajal. but some eyes can bear it. and some react to it.
one should definitely avoid putting the kajal on the inner line of the lid, inside the lashes, as some are doing, but always on the outside only.
if the eye reacts, it is really advisable to leave it. as a prophylaxis, it is better to only wear it occasionally, and by all means clean it off before going to bed.

Eye-liner for guys what color and how to apply?
Hello I'm looking for some eye-liner I'm going for the smudged look but want it to be very subtle to the point where you cannot tell i'm wearing it but to just add effect to my eyes. I'm wondering for this effect should I go with a black color or a dark brown. Again I'm not going for the goth/punk look, just want subtle effect. Thankss
P.S my hair color is dark brown if that makes any difference.Eye-liner for guys what color and how to apply?
well...
Even though you say your going for the ';subtle'; effect makeup on guys is always a turn off for me and most girls, if a girl notices your wearing it she may turn the other way.
Adding a dark smudge to your eye will just make you look like you have had no sleep!
I dont think it's a good idea but for what its worth if your going to do it make shure its not noticable.
Dark brown will be less harsh too.
And to ';MCRfor life'; or whatever, Eyeliner on guys makes you look like an emo and considering you listen to mychemical romance then i guess you are an emo anyway.
:SEye-liner for guys what color and how to apply?
Whatever you do is going to look suspect. The only way you could maybe get away with it is use a dark brown pencil that is sharpened to a fine point and then carefully take it and just dot in between your eyelashes. If you smudge, it will certainly look like you have something on. The other person was right, make-up on a man is never right unless is on TV or on stage.
don't listen to people who say that makeup is bad for guys
i love it when guys where eyeliner
since you dont really want to go for the emo/scene/punk look i think you should find a dark brown its less noticeable but still has great effect
good luck....and don't listen to those people who say that you shouldn't wear it
Well, my advice would be to go to your CVS or Rite Aid or whatever and find the ';Wet'n'wild'; brand--they're $.99. Grab dark brown, lighter brown, black and gray and see which work best for you. The color of your eyelashes, eyelids and eyebrows are going to have a major factor in how it looks, not to mention how light or dark your eye color is.
Good luck!
go for a dark brown colored pencil. put your finger on the outside of your eye and pull so it kinda looks asian (not being racist or anything) then take a sharpened eyeliner pencil and lightly put it as close to your lash line as possible. dont do your bottom lid.
Whatever you choose, make sure you get some boxing gloves because you're gonna need em.
none!
make up on a man is NEVER a good idea!
