How do you apply eye liner to the top of your eye lid?

Every time that I try it, the eye liner ends up all streaky in the middle of the lid. How do you apply eye liner to the top of your eye lid?
apply powder to your lid first or apply urban decay eyeshadow primer first then lineHow do you apply eye liner to the top of your eye lid?
Okay, so many people have this problem and heres the easiest way i can describe it!

so you need liquid liner and a q-tip.

First get the liquid liner and start from the middle to the end, then go back from the middle to the start.

And how to make it a bit easier, just follow the natural shape of your eye lid, if you mess up its okay practice makes perfect!

and if you have mistakes, just wipe it off with the q-tip on where ever you messed up, and keep going till you get it!

I remember i was bad at that, but im really good at it now and all it took was alot of practice to make sure my hand is steady, because if your shaking when your doing that, OFCOURSE its going to come out messed up, so practice to get a steady hand and you'll be an expert just like me ;)
You should start with a good eyeliner, like MAC or Urban Decay. If you just want to apply it to the top lid, go with liquid, it looks nicer. To prevent it from creasing, first swipe your eyelids with primer. Start at the inner corner of your eye, making small strokes until you reach the end of the eyelid. Eyeliner should never pass the end of your eyebrow. And remember to stay as close to the lash line as possible. Good luck!
With liquid eyeliner, you MUST get a brand of liner that has a FIRM brush, not one that'll easily bend, make sense? Makes it so much easier to control. I HIGHLY recommend Almay's liquid liner. Then take the brush and hold the tip at about a 45 degree angle to your lash line, so your hand should be almost sorta perpendicular to the side of your head. It helps to sort of rest the bottom/side of your hand against your cheek for balance if you need it
