How can u apply eye liner with out looking over done?

for school i use dark brown eyeliner instead of black,


then i only do it on the top eyelid


i only do it 3/4 of the way around though, i dont put it on the part of the eyelid closest to my nose

well a brown color rather than black can help. and keeping the line on the thinner side would be allot better, not to mention not tracing your waterline.How can u apply eye liner with out looking over done?
I like a ';kohl'; pencil. It's easy to apply and you can smudge it to get a thin, thick, light, dark effect. They come in all colors and you can get them cheap!

Make the line thin. Use a cream/gel eyeliner with a very thin brush so you can get it as thin and smooth as possible.
Keep the eyeliner as thin and as close to your lashes as possible
